Privacy Policy

Effective October 7, 2026

Outstryde is a private social step-competition app. This policy explains the information we collect and how we use it.

Information we collect

How we use information

We use this information only to authenticate your account, synchronize activity, calculate daily progress and private-group standings, show competition activity, deliver requested notifications, prevent abuse, provide support, and maintain the service.

What other members see

Members of a group you join may see your display name, profile photo, step totals, distance context, rank, competition events, and reactions in that group. They do not see your birthday or email address.

Apple Health

Outstryde reads only the Apple Health categories you authorize. We do not write activity to Apple Health. Apple Health information is not sold, used for advertising or marketing, or shared with data brokers. It is used to provide Outstryde’s fitness and competition features.

Service providers and disclosure

We use Firebase and Google Cloud for authentication, database hosting, file storage, server functions, and notifications, and Apple services for Sign in with Apple, Apple Health, and push notifications. These providers process information on our behalf to operate the service. We may disclose information if required by law or necessary to protect users, the service, or others.

Tracking and advertising

Outstryde does not sell personal information, show third-party advertising, or track you across apps and websites owned by other companies.

Retention, controls, and deletion

We retain information while your account is active and as needed to operate the service. You can revoke Apple Health and notification access in iPhone Settings. You can permanently delete your account and associated personal data in Outstryde under Settings → Account → Delete Account.

Security and international processing

We use reasonable administrative and technical safeguards, but no online service can guarantee absolute security. Our providers may process information in the United States and other locations where they operate.

Children

Outstryde is not directed to children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information without appropriate permission, contact us.

Changes

We may update this policy as the service changes. We will post the updated date on this page.
